I couldn’t let Christmas go by without making a version of Amy Sinbaldi’s Christmas pillow! This was so fun to stitch up and I did it all in one evening. Want to make one? Her pattern is free!
The little polka dot fabric is a favorite from Art Gallery fabrics. And I combined it with my favorite red mattress ticking fabric and Robert Kaufman Essex linen in flax.
I love to make fabric covered buttons, so any excuse I can get to use them, I do! I get the little button kits from Hobby Lobby. They are so fun and easy and come in all kinds of sizes.
I used a Perle Cotton in black for the stitching and added a little linen crochet trim . . .

Hi Elaine This is great & was perfect when I saw it last night. We were suppose to be in Howell for dinner but instead spent a hour and half to drive Wiiloughby-Okemos Road-Jolly-College-Wilooughby which was very scary!!! We had left shortly before five and were in the worst of it and Steve had checked the weather just before we left. Thank Heavens for a comfort food dinner of spaghetti!
Do not have any time to consider this for this year but definitely needs to go on my project list and am forwarding it to a couple friends would be interested. Susan

Where do you get your ticking used in this pillow? I am having a hard time finding it.

Laura: I find that ticking at Jo-Ann’s. They have it in a blue and a red. Hope this helps! It’s in a special section – ask for it if you can’t find it.
